The Mommies in the Plaza was a great success. Thank you to everyone that turned out in the sweltering heat. I do have a few hair clips cards, hair clip holders and tutus left from the event. Each clip card is only $5 and the clippie ribbon holders are priced at $8. The tutus start at $10. The photo to the left simply gives a glimpse of what the clippie cards look like.
Please send me email if you would like to see the photos of any remaining inventory. Don't miss out on these fabulous prices. fortunecookiemama@gmail.com

Mommies in the Plaza this Saturday (Aug 29th)
Little Fortune Cookie will be at the Mommies in the Plaza Business Fair on Saturday, August 29th, from 10am-3pm. I will be selling tutus, beanies, headbands, hair clips, and the much awaited hair clip holders! Most items will be priced lower then they will be all year, so time to stock up for those birthdays and holidays. There will also be a random drawing to win a gorgeous custom tutu or flower beanie that day.
Tutus: I will be selling a few premade tutus that will range in price from $12-18. Most importantly though is that I will be taking custom orders on Saturday for tutus starting at $20 and will be shipping them to your desired location for FREE! Tutu orders must be placed and paid for on Saturday to qualify for the free shipping. I will be bringing tulle color samples with me so you can see the colors in person.
Halloween Costumes: I will be taking custom Halloween costume orders at the Mommies in the Plaza event. I will ship all costume orders for FREE if ordered and paid for on Saturday.
Hair Clips: All hair clips will be sold on cards for $5 each. That is an incredible deal since that is almost half what they retail in my Etsy shop for and a third the price what other boutiques are selling my clippies for. Stock up now ladies! The clippies will not be sold at this low of a price again this year.
Flower Beanies: $10-$15
Headbands: $8
Hair Clip Holders: $8

The Magical First Disneyland Trip
My aunt just got back from Disneyland and was showing off some of her fabulous photos of their trip tonight. It was my cousin's first trip to Disneyland and was obviously overjoyed to be there! What a magical time for a three year old. How cute does she look sporting the new Minnie Mouse Clippies?

The Different Faces of Friendship
There are several people in my life that I consider good friends. I don't see some of them as frequently as others and I have varied relationships with each of them. I do, however, consider each of them to be an important part of my life.
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary describes the word friend as "one attached to another by respect or affection." This accurately describes my relationship with my friends.
Though we may move in different circles and each have other friends we are not acquainted with, we still share that special bond of mutual respect and affection.
We meet friends in different ways and at different periods in our lives. Some are from our childhood, some from school days and some from social or job situations. Out of all the people that surround us in our daily lives, certain ones seem to share an aura of attraction, which pulls us together somehow. You know how you can be standing with a group of people at a party or social function and there is just something about one of them that makes you want to get to know him or her better? That's the way friendship starts.
Friends come and go in our lives. Some we lose contact with over the years, but some become friends for life. I have several small clusters of friends who shared a part of my life and with whom the sharing continues. I even have a couple "best friends," who don't know each other, but are considered best friends because of special times we have shared.
What would life be without friends? Most of us have families, co-workers and a network of other people in our lives. But our friends are the ones we turn to when we need someone to confide in, seek comfort from or simply have fun with. And the best part about friends is, we know they are in our lives because they choose to be. They don't have to be they want to be. And one of the best and therapeutic things in life is to have a day or evening or even a weekend with a good friend. It's an escape from the harsh realities of life and a good way to get things back in perspective.
So, thanks to all my friends for keeping me grounded and for always being there for me. I love you all!

Out of the Mouths of Babes
I have been on the search for the perfect bathing suit since the beginning of summer with no such luck. Well today was the day that I found that bathing suit. In fact, I found two bathing suits and on clearance. I was so excited you would have thought I had won the lottery! When I got home I tried on the bathing suit one more time when my four year old daughter walked in on me. She looked at me and with a smile on her face said, "Mommy are you wearing a zucchini? I love your new zucchini. When I grow up I want a zucchini just like yours!" Oh my, if that was not the funniest thing I had heard in awhile. I guess zucchini and bikini do sound alike. Ah, out of the mouths of babes!

Little Miss Cutie
This cutie patootie is one of my favorite little ones to have photographed and graces most of my tutu listing on Etsy. She is a natural in front of the camera and always a pleasure to work with. It is so fun to see how much she has grown up since her first Little Fortune Cookie photo shoot. The photos were taken approximately 14 months apart.

Last week Little Fortune Cookie teamed up with Marina Moore Photography to photograph some of my newest products. I am anxiously waiting the arrival of the new photos, but in the meantime here is a sneak peek. The first photo cracks me up since she looks so serious. She actually was a very happy, active little girl that day and truly precious beyond belief. Keep your eye out for the newest arrival to appear in my Etsy Store
